The story spotlights the Arkansas Department of Transportation and their use of new data technology to assess interstate conditions. Where improvements were needed, they turned to concrete pavement preservation to improve smoothness and rideability and support the inherent sustainability of long-lived concrete pavement. They also worked with the IGGA to quantify the carbon savings opportunities specifically associated with maintaining and smoothing the pavement!
